Peogeot Partner offers a large payload capacity, wholesome comfort, and practicality, making it a rather versatile but economic option. The latest Peugeot Partner employs a car derived tech, taking this small van model to a new level. Practicality has been extended with a large payload capacity of up to a tonne, user-friendly cabin design, latest safety kit, highly efficient diesel engine, driving comfort and numerous advanced features to serve customer needs.
Improvised with the cutting-edge tech, the latest Peugeot Partner uses mixed featured of the older version and latest EMP2 components. A little box shape needs are added in order to enhance the workspace area, while Peugeot retains workspace together with less of van-like outlook.
Peugeot offers two length options with the Standard and Long versions having an identical roof height. The payload capacity ranges between 667 and 1,050 kg while cargo volumes fall between 3.3 to 3.8 m3. Four trim levels are available; fleet-minded Partner S, Partner Grip, Professional, and Asphalt, having somewhat identical prices and specifications with Citroen Berlingo.
Switchable traction control, a 30mm raised the height and extra traction on slippery surfaces is provided with Peugeot’s Grip Control System. Peugeot Partner is a Front Wheel Drive vehicle, while French Dangel company offers 4×4 kit with the Partner/Rifter range. Except for the Partner S, all three models have a three-seat layout with multi-flex folding seat and electric parking brake options. The professional vans are provided with rear parking sensors, touchscreen DAB and cruise control system while Asphalt adds several options like cameras, alloy wheels and body-colored bumpers which can be added to other versions too.
For the standard van, the stop-start standard improves running economy to 67.3mpg with BlueHDi 100 compared to the 64.2mpg combined economy of BlueHDi 75 while BlueHDi 100 is offered for the Long van; however, mpg is poor with Grip model. BlueHDi 130 is a newer engine having 64.2mpg for a manual like 75 motors, while the EAT8 auto-equipped version returns a claimed 65.7mpg to match the 100 diesel. A 50-liter fuel tank comes with all diesel engine vans while AdBlue tank is 17 liters.
Peugeot Partner gives enhanced space and payload capacity while payload weights differ with models, normally ranging between 667kg (BlueHDi 75) to 1,050kg (BlueHDi 100) and 940 to 970kg payload for long vans. Cargo volume for Standard, Multi-flex front seat version is 303 and 3.9 m3 respectively (adding 600 liters more space when the front passenger seat is not used). Cargo volume is 3.8 and 4.4 m3 for the long and multi-flex modes respectively. A maximum load width of 1.550mm and load height of 1,236mm are present while load height is 1,243mm for the long van. A load lip of 548 to 586mm is present in all models except long ones having a 571-610mm load lip. Lastly, the load length is 1,817 and 2,167mm in Standard and Long versions respectively, increasing up to 3,090 and 3,440m in Multi-flex models.
The new van would offer enhanced reliability. EMP2 technology gives Peugeot a range of safety features like a passenger car. A standard safety kit with airbags, full-height steel bulkhead, electronic stability control, emergency brakes, traction control, and hill start assist is also present. In addition, overload indicator and tire pressure monitors also come with different models. Security features have been enhanced with immobilizer, remote central lock and separate load area and security alarm in high spec models.
New Peugeot Partner has a cockpit cabin layout, enhancing the driving experience to a more smooth and fair drive. BlueHDi 130 motor with the six-speed gearbox, is powerful for hauling big loads while smaller BlueHDi 75 and 100 engines come with a five-speed manual.
The i-Cockpit layout gives a distinctive dashboard with small, low-set steering wheel and dials positioned high on the dashboard in the driver’s line of sight. The cabin layout provides spaciousness and style, provided with climate controls under air vents and overhead storage area. The twin USB connection and two 12V sockets supply power while Bluetooth connection and audio jack are also available.
